I drove the hour-long trek to North Eugene's Swede Johnson Stadium to shoot a highlight reel for Roseburg's Dr. Stewart's American Legion baseball team in its conference opener against the Eugene Challengers.

I have always liked Swede Johnson Stadium. I played many games there in the early 1990s as a legion baseball player for both the Roseburg Coca-Cola Classics and the Dr. Stewart's. It doesn't have quite as much seating capacity as Legion Memorial Field in Roseburg, but all the seats are comfortable chair-backs and the field is top-notch.
